The Bernoulli Center for Economics (University of Basel), the INREDD laboratory (Université Cadi Ayyad), and the Macro group of the University of Bern have hosted the Macro Week in Marrakech consisting of the Second Global Macroeconomic Workshop and the Fifth Macro Marrakech Workshop. Both conferences took place at the Université Cadi Ayyad, Marrakech – Morocco, on April 17th – 18th and April 20th – 21st 2018, respectively.
Topics and Objective
Topics covered included all areas of economics, as long as the focus is on macroeconomics, monetary economics and labor economics. Moreover, contributions in search, matching or information frictions were very welcomed. The objective is to bring together people from all fi elds in macroeconomics to initiate more collaboration. With the choice of the conference venue in Marrakech, we also intend to strengthen the cooperation between the University of Basel and the Université Cadi Ayyad Marrakech.
